One species. Infinite variation.
Neeblies aren't a roster of fixed creatures — they're a single species, and no two are ever quite alike. Every Neeblie is born with a unique genome: a body hue, two eye colors, and a set of physical and behavioral traits, all inherited from its parents and all visible from the moment it hatches.
Breed two Neeblies and their genes recombine. Most of the time traits blend; sometimes a mutation nudges a hue somewhere new. Over generations, lineages wander across the color wheel — and that wandering is where discovery begins.

The rarity ladder
Rarity is measured by how far a Neeblie's hue drifts from foundational green. The further you breed from where the world began, the rarer — and more memorable — the find.
Common
Tier 1Foundational green. Every Neeblarium begins here — calm, hardy, and the root of every lineage that follows.
Uncommon
Tier 2The first drift away from green. A lime or teal shimmer that hints a lineage is starting to wander.
Rare
Tier 3Cool and clear. Blues and cyans that take real patience — and a few generations — to coax out of the gene pool.
Exotic
Tier 4Vivid magentas and violets, far from where the world began. A genuine collector's find worth recording.
Mythical
Tier 5Body and both eyes locked to a single perfect hue. Ember, Solar, Glacial, Prismatic — unmistakable, and unforgettable.
The mythical hues
A handful of perfect colors sit at the very top. To earn one, a Neeblie's body and both eyes must lock to a single mythical hue — an unmistakable, once-in-a-colony discovery.
Seven stages of a life
Every Neeblie moves through seven stages, each with its own tint and temperament — from a clingy newborn to the quiet dignity of twilight. Their moods shift along the way, driven by hunger, thirst, energy, company, and the world around them.
- 1
Dependent
Newly hatched. Stays close to family and learns the world.
- 2
Juvenile
Growing fast, exploring further, full of restless curiosity.
- 3
Mature
Fully grown and confident. The prime of a Neeblie's life.
- 4
Blooming
Heightened energy and a readiness to start a family of its own.
- 5
Settled
Peaceful and routine. Content to tend its small corner of the glass.
- 6
Sunset
Slowing down, but still warm — the long golden afternoon of a life.
- 7
Twilight
The final, quiet days. Remembered in your Journal and lineages.
